Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Chemical Process Supervisor position in the Los Angeles, California Coating Division. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will oversee the Lab Department and process of tank titration and dye additions. Additionally, you will…

  •  Able to develop and achieve custom color makes matches (customer samples)
  • Oversee Lab Personnel
  • To perform Ph testing on the required tanks
  • To make additions and adjustments as require
  • To verify concentrations as required
  • To dump, clean and set up new tank solutions
  • To record all readings and test results in appropriate logs
  • To test for conductivity of solutions
  • Ensure that daily titration records are maintained and are accurate
  • Ensure company complies with all environmental rules and regulations
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment
  • Haz-Waste Accumulation Containers/Waste Minimization
  • Emergency Response
  • Hazardous Communication/Right to Know
  • General Housekeeping

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of Lab Work experience including use of Ph meters and titration tools, dyes and chemicals for processing
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written and interpersonal)
  • Ability to multi-task and make decisions
  • Good Organizational Skills
  • Experience in developing team’s initiatives and self-directions
  • Computer proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Will be required to wear necessary PPE
  • Familiar with the handling of Chemicals that are in the tanks.  Has had Emergency Response and Hazmat training

Highly qualified candidates will also possess:

  • Bachelor degree preferred in Chemical or Related Field
  • Required 3 years Supervisory experience
