A Brief Summary of This Position:

The Digital Marketing Manager position is an individual contributor position for the Irrigation Division. The position is responsible for leading activities related to the coordination and management of all digital assets – including maintaining, creating, executing, and analyzing performance on all digital platforms. This includes but is not limited to websites, emails, blogs and social media channels. They will be responsible for reporting on key metrics, analyzing and interpreting trends and providing actionable insights based on available analytics data. The incumbent actively leads brainstorming sessions and creative development efforts to drive strong digital solutions. They will work not only with the Global Marketing Team, but also collaborate with other departments and divisions. Team player, leadership, superior communication skills, organization and ability to work in a fast-paced environment is required. The ideal candidate will thoroughly understand the digital space.

Essential Functions:

  • Website strategy and management for all domestic and international websites, including updating content as needed via the content management system (will work directly with the Corporate Web Services Team)
  • Manage and implement SEO throughout all domestic and international public-facing websites
  • Manage day-to-day activities of social media content strategy, including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google+ and YouTube
  • Create and execute a social media schedule/calendar
  • Track & analyze social media insights monthly
  • Manage the paid digital marketing strategy including but not limited to Google advertising, display and re-targeting campaigns
  • Execute email campaigns
  • Analyze analytics from websites to determine what we are doing well and what needs improvement 
  • Management and optimization of other digital media, as needed
  • Involvement in projects requiring a web-based user interface, including, but not limited to web-based products, landing pages, apps and portal programs
  • Create and manage contests including setup, promotion and analytics
  • Ability to travel, occasionally
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds or use a dolly to transport heavier items

Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

  • Bachelor’s with 5+ years relevant experience or Associates Degree with 7+ years relevant experience or 9+ years of relevant experience
  • Solid knowledge of the digital landscape
  • A strong understanding and practical experience with email automation, SEO, AdWords, Google Analytics, data management
  • Maintaining content on websites
  • In collaboration with the Sr. Copywriter/Content Strategist, lead the planning, management, and execution of social channels – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, YouTube and blog
  • Partner with global marketing teams to support their efforts in monitoring digital and social media platforms with an emphasis on brand protection
  • Strong knowledge of Hubspot, or similar, inbound marketing platform
  • Experience working with project tracking and collaborative tools (i.e. Confluence, JIRA, SharePoint)
  • Involvement in projects requiring a web-based user interface, including, but not limited to web-based products, apps, and portal programs
  • Compile data/results across multiple digital platforms and create quarterly reports, including analysis for insights, optimizations and future strategy development
  • Strong influencing skills and capability to effectively articulate, present and explain design/layout choices
  • Educate individuals who manage dealership social media accounts and websites
  • Interact at all levels of the company and with external parties in a professional manner maintaining effective communication, both written and spoken
  • Skills in complex problem solving, judgment, critical thinking and decision-making
  • Effectively and persuasively present sometimes complex information in a simple, easily understandable way
  • Work with little direction by knowing the team’s goals and performing self-directed research

Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications

  • Preferred Bachelors or post-graduate degree
  • Knowledge of Sitefinity, or similar, content management system
  • Knowledge and skills in HTML, CSS, jQuery, Content Management Systems, Adobe Creative Suite, a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce, a plus.
  • Foreign language / knowledge of international marketing, a plus.
  • Experience with lead generation as part of a marketing strategy

Working Environment and Physical Efforts:

Work is typically performed in an office setting; however, incumbent may be required to go into the production or shipping/receiving areas. The incumbent is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as talk and listen on the phone and attend meetings.  Environment is fast-paced and demanding most of the time. Occasional travel may be required within the U.S. and abroad.  90% of the tasks are sedentary with 10% moving boxes of brochures, promotional material or tradeshow items. The employee frequently is required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel and type. Reaching hands and arms above shoulder height while working in the office may be required.  The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk when moving about the office. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds in working with large files, binders, and boxes of paper.  A dolly is available for transportation of heavier items. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
