How you will contribute

Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for an Industrial Painter to assist in various painting areas. Additionally, you will…

  • Able to perform General Labor duties.
  • Able to meet quality and production standards.
  • Ensure that the relevant equipment is in good working order, change filters and clean guns with supervision, set up equipment, use and clean up equipment relevant to their task with supervision.
  • Able to use small hand tools and have good dexterity. Mechanical skills.
  • Fill out production reports, if required with supervision, Able to read job cards (process sheets)
  • Work well with minimal supervision.
  • Place pre-mixes in paint pots with supervision.
  • Prime with supervision
  • Able to mask all products and work with all types of masking when assigned, training into a specific area ie: masking, inspection, painting, tank operation, etc.
  • Work with a safety oriented attitude, insure a safe work environment
  • Knowledge of proper safety in regards to hazardous waste handling containers. Waste minimization.
  • Emergency Response and Contingency and Hazardous Communication / Right to Know
  • Lean initiative and Core Competencies.

    What it takes

    Required Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Able to follow simple work instructions. Able to read and write and have good math skills
  • Be capable of lifting up to fifty pounds
  • Show interest for improvement and advancement
  • The ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • This position is considered a safety sensitive position and as such is subject to the provisions of Valmont’s Random Drug Screening policy
  • Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
