How you will contribute

Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Inside Sales Coordinator position in the Global Coatings Division.  We are looking for a highly driven individual that will work directly with our Sales Manager and all customers. Additionally, you will…

  • Work daily with production to meet customer commitment requests
  • Gather all necessary information from all customers (request for quotation) for the project and coordinate the work within the plant using Price Book
  • Complete miscellaneous spreadsheets for GM/Sales Manager on turnaround time, customer commitments and lost orders
  • Follow up on a daily basis on all outstanding quotations noting the date of follow up and results of quotation
  • Maintain the excel spreadsheet Customer Quote Log
  • Provide Sales Manager with a weekly print out of all quotations and an up to date copy of the current month Customer Quote Log
  • Resolve minor customer problems by interacting with the production and accounting departments on a daily basis
  • Creates miscellaneous customer mailings at the direction of Sales Manager
  • Provides back up to shipping and receiving
  • Prices receivers daily
  • Calls customers when steel is ready for pick up
  • Answer phone calls and direct to proper person or department

What it takes

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook
  • The ability to learn and adapt quickly to new computer programs
  • Must have a pleasant and friendly attitude
  • Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results

Highly qualified candidates will also possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing or related field
  • Minimum two to three years’ experience in Customer Service
  • Three months or more in a galvanizing environment
  • Bilingual preferred English/Spanish
