How you will contribute

Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for a Quality Inspector to inspect customer parts for acceptability per customer specifications. Additionally, you will…

  • Pre-process, in-process, and final inspection of customer supplied parts.
  • Determine proper packaging for parts
  • Determine different conditions on parts and determine their acceptability.
  • Count parts, un-racking of parts, package finished goods.
  • Complete proper paperwork.
  • Understand and use all inspection equipment and procedures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Able to work in all areas.
  • Work with a safety oriented attitude, insure a safe work environment
  • Knowledge of proper safety in regards to hazardous waste handling containers. Waste minimization.
  • Emergency Response and Contingency and Hazardous Communication / Right to Know
  • Lean initiative and Core Competencies.

    What it takes

    Required Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Able to make independent decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read and understand basic blueprints and specification.
  • Show interest for improvement and advancement
  • Good organizational and communication skills, as well as ability to get along with others.
  • The ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • This position is considered a safety sensitive position and as such is subject to the provisions of Valmont’s Random Drug Screening policy
  • Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
