Job Summary: Assist supervisor/manager with managing of people and tasks; coordinate the production within the department.
1st shift position
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the job:
1. Assists supervisor/manager during normal work shift
2. In charge of department(s) when supervisor/manager is away
3. Make recommendations of employee warnings and reprimands to supervisor/manager
4. Helps train employees, makes decisions on quality
5. Helps maintain a safe and clean work environment
6. This position is a working group leader (when not assisting supervisor/manager, group leader will be performing normal production job.)
7. Process work orders to meet customer expectations in regards to specifications & requirements
8. Coordinate with sales & engineering personnel to determine ship dates in absence of supervision
SKILLS REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOB:
1. Must have knowledge of all machines/operations in department(s)
2. Ability to adapt to change(s); decision making ability; good people skills; interpersonal organizational & communication
3. Good leadership capability
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOB:
1. High school diploma or GED
LIFTING/OTHER PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOB:
1. Standing/walking for long periods of time
2. Must be able to lift minimum 25 lbs
LICENSING OR OTHER SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
1. Forklift certified preferred, but not required
