How you will contribute

Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Office Assistant position in the Global Utilities Division. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will perform various clerical and administrative duties and tasks to aid in the attainment of Valmont’s operational goals. Additionally, you will…

Greet all visitors and direct them to specific destinations.
Answer, screen, and forward telephone calls to the correct person. 
Handle event scheduling, coordination and catering. 
Handle incoming and outgoing mail. 
Operate a computer terminal for administrative tasks.
Accept packages, document receipt, and notify department personnel for pickup.
Track and maintain office supply inventory.
Perform essential office functions such as scanning, photocopying, faxing, filing, and typing correspondence. 
Other activities and projects as directed. 

What it takes
Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent 
A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook. 
The ability to operate a computer terminal in a productive and efficient manner. 
Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. 
The ability to perform basic math functions such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. 
The ability to pay attention to detail and maintain systems of organization and filing. 
The ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive.
Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
Must be a person of high awareness of safety

Highly qualified candidates will also possess:   One year of previous experience in an administrative assistant, clerical, or receptionist position 
Leadership skills
