A Brief Summary of This Position:
The Project Manager - Solar is a centralized leader in the North America Solar team, responsible for implementing and executing projects. The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for overall execution, profitability, and customer satisfaction in the assigned market channel. You will work with the Sales, Business Line Management, Engineering, and Global Operations leadership team, within with the Global Generation division and other Valmont teams.
Essential Functions:
Additionally, they will administer the contract between the customer and Valmont: identifying milestones, managing liquidated damage constraints, and maintaining communication with the customer to define contract deficiencies or successes. They manage all schedule, budget, and resource issues through the completion of the project, including resolving any conflict resolution either internal or external. The SPM will communicate directly with all levels of the Valmont organization and with the customer. You will perform a post-project report detailing lessons learned and best practices and communicate with team. You will also have a broad knowledge of Valmont standards and operational performance of all facilities. You should also have a broad knowledge of departmental and company goals and procedures. As the SPM, you must make on the spot decisions regarding schedule changes, budget changes or resource requirements to assure the success of the project and communicate of those decisions to all team members. Maintain appropriate professional competencies, certifications, licenses necessary to perform job.

Working Environment and Physical Efforts:
Work is typically performed in an office setting. You are required to sit for extended periods of time, and talk and listen on the phone and in personal conversations or meetings. Environment is fast paced and demanding most of the time. 30% international and domestic travel requirements for this position including overnight stays. You are frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms while working in the office with multiple files and forms and while working on the computer. You are occasionally required to move about the office. You must use proper ergonomic safeguards such as monitor height and positions, keyboard location and height and proper wrists rests. You must occasionally lift and move up to 15 pounds in working with large files, binders, and computer equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Minimum base salary is $84,862 and max is $132,597.
