A Brief Summary

This position is responsible for supporting the clerical functions of the Quality department. The incumbent must maintain a high degree of accuracy while performing the tasks required of this position and must be able to communicate effectively with multiple areas of the organization via phone and E-mail. The incumbent must be organized and be able to review, compare, analyze and approve data against both ASTM & internal specifications.

Essential Functions:

  • Create lower-level certifications based on customer needs.
  • Review and process material test reports, including printing, sorting, distributing, and scanning.
  • File various reports and documents as required.
  • Gather and update cost of quality data as needed.
  • Track welder/tool calibration and welder qualification information.
  • Process and file QCAR’s and SCAR’s

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma and 1+ year of work experience
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications (ASTM, Divisional Specs, etc.)
  • Ability to interpret data and make accurate computer entries.
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to maintain electronic and manual filing systems.
  • Ability to compose letters and memos.
