Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Shipping Receiving Supervisor position in the Global Coatings Division. We are looking for a highly driven individual with excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.  Additionally, you will…

Essential Functions:

  • Develop, execute, and modify project plans based on efficiency and customer requirements
  • Seek daily communication from upstream departments to ensure product is correctly prioritized
  • Expedite orders through shops to achieve on-time delivery of customer product
  • Provide estimates and frequent updates in regards to planned ship & delivery dates
  • Coordinate required inspections through Quality Assurance for inspected orders
  • Coordinate deliveries to align with customer’s receiving yard schedules
  • Create, organize, and maintain document libraries
  • Review, input and audit data with above-average attention to detail & accuracy
  • Coordination of the on-time delivery of product to the customer.
  • Responsible for their own safety, and required to report any unsafe acts or conditions to the appropriate personnel
  • Responsible for the quality and integrity of their work, including reporting & data accuracy
  • Continuously improve the level of support provided to stakeholders, which ultimately impact the end-customer

What it takes

Required Qualifications

  • The ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • The ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Effectively communicate with key personnel via phone, email, and face-to-face
  • Possess knowledge of transportation terms, DOT regulations & manufacturing processes

Highly qualified candidates will also possess:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 3+ years of experience, within a shipping/logistics coordination role
  • Experience with warehouse inventory systems
  • Experience with Traffic Management & DOT Regulations
