The Fabrication Technician organizes parts and materials to fulfill manufacturing orders. This is primarily done by utilizing various hand tools and power equipment.

Expected Hours of Work

Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Overtime may be required, including weekends. 

Essential Functions

  • Finish parts to specification with hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, etc.), portable grinders, hand routers, band saw, and sanding equipment.
  • Sand burrs and sharp machined edges using sanding equipment and hand tools and buffing and polishing metals to correct existing defects.
  • Operate grinding equipment per instructions and the machine manual.
  • Read blueprints and job routers for deburring and finishing specifications.
  • Maintain all deburring equipment and perform maintenance, as necessary.
  • Keep the work area as clean as possible to reduce and minimize Foreign Object Damage (FOD).
  • Conducts 5S procedures every week.
  • Educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources.
  • Maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures to ensure quality.
  • Accomplishes manufacturing needs by properly communicating job-related issues and working in a team environment.
  • Ensure 100% quality of products by monitoring, training, and inspecting products.
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve issues as they arise.

Education 

*Work experience may be substituted for educational requirements*

Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Experience

Required: 1 year of manufacturing experience
