How you will contribute
Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for a Material Handler/Warehouse position. They will set up the line and move material to and from the line area as required. Additionally, you will…
Safely operate a forklift throughout the plant.
Have good knowledge of warehouse (packaging, parts, etc.)
Set up and follow the daily work schedule.
Responsible for maintaining a proper workflow.
Move product between departments and the warehouse.
Move between different departments on an as-needed basis to meet customer requirements.
Work with a safety-oriented attitude, ensuring a safe work environment.
Knowledge of proper safety in regards to hazardous waste handling containers. Waste minimization.
Emergency Response, Hazardous Communication, and Right to Know knowledge.
Lean initiative and Core Competencies.
The starting wage range is $20.00 - $23.00 per hour.
What it takes
Required Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent.
Able to follow simple work instructions.
Be capable of lifting up to fifty pounds.
Show interest in improvement and advancement.
Good organizational and communication skills.
The ability to work with diverse groups of people.
This position is considered a safety-sensitive position and, as such, is subject to the provisions of Valmont’s Random Drug Screening policy.

Working Environment and Physical Efforts:
All of the working conditions for this position are in a manufacturing shop environment with exposure to dirt, grease, fumes, cold, heat, noise, and dust. The environment is fast-paced and demanding most of the time. The Incumbent must utilize proper ergonomic and safety safeguards, such as hearing protection and safety glasses. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds while working with many different parts for processing.
