The Workday Functional Analyst is responsible for the design, configuration, testing, and optimization of Workday modules that support a global HR, Talent, and Payroll ecosystem. This role partners with cross-functional teams — including HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT— to build scalable solutions, ensure data integrity, and enhance the employee experience through efficient processes and technology. This position also serves as a technical point-of-contact for assigned functional areas and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. 

Essential Functions:

  • Configure, maintain, and enhance Workday modules including Core HCM, Compensation, Absence Management, Talent, Recruiting, Learning, Security, Extend, and Prism Analytics.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective and compliant Workday configuration solutions.
  • Build and manage business processes, notifications, condition rules, calculated fields, and custom reports.
  • Manage release cycles by reviewing Workday’s new features, identifying opportunities, testing enhancements, and implementing approved changes.
  • Develop and maintain security roles and domain/business process policies to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with global regulations.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, analyze root causes, and implement long-term solutions.
  • Provide production support, documentation, and training to functional teams and end users.
  • Prepare and conduct mass data loads using Workday EIB templates
  • Coordinates, audits, and administers the processing of HR and benefits information in Workday and ensures confidentiality is maintained in the maintenance and dissemination of this highly sensitive information

Other Important Details about the Role:

  • Assessment of processing and procedures for improvements and streamlining
  • Completion of system reports as needed by internal customers
  • Contributes to a positive relationship with internal customers and external service providers to accomplish these tasks timely, accurately and professionally
  • Performs and coordinates special projects as assigned and monitors strict deadlines to ensure timeliness

Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

  • Preferred Bachelors with 3+ years of experience or Associates Degree with 5+ years of experience or 7+ years of experience
  • Three or more years’ experience working with Human Resources information systems
  • 2+ years of Workday experience managing modules, including configuring business processes including notifications, security policies, routing, and condition rules; creating and maintaining reports; and providing customer support to managers and employees
  • Excellent customer service and human relation skills
  • Strong mathematical aptitude, analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy, and follow through abilities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively articulate instructions and information to others
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information
  • Possess team, organizational, sound judgment, creativity, flexibility, leadership, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently on assignments and projects
  • Ability to provide, in user-friendly terms, ideas and solutions to end users on HR systems-related questions, tasks, projects and reports.

Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of global HR/data laws
  • Global HRIS experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and demonstrated ability with other MS Office applications
