How you will contribute

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join Valmont Coatings on a full-time permanent basis at our Campbellfield site. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading all maintenance and reliability activities on-site to ensure the safety, efficiency, and longevity of our critical equipment and assets.

As a hands-on and pro-active leader, you will play a key role in improving plant reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting a high-performing maintenance culture.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and lead the site maintenance strategy, including predictive and preventative maintenance plans.
  • Improve plant reliability and performance by reducing unplanned downtime and increasing asset lifespan.
  • Lead and develop the maintenance team, promoting high performance, safety, and accountability.
  • Manage maintenance schedules, subcontractors, and shutdowns to minimise operational disruptions.
  • Oversee critical spares, tools, and system inventory to ensure operational readiness.
  • Use data-driven insights to identify root causes of equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain and improve Maintenance Management Systems, ensuring timely completion of all work orders.
  • Identify capital projects, raise capital requests & project manage in line with budget

About you

  • A Trade Qualification in Mechanical Fitting or a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a maintenance leadership role within manufacturing or heavy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and reliability centered maintenance (RCM).
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive performance in a safety-focused environment.
  • Experience with fault finding, root cause analysis, and the use of predictive maintenance technologies.
